Chapter 3: River and Lake Became Friends
Lake's physical attraction with River on their first meeting was like Naomi venturing into acting..... It didnt last. Lake's fanciful romantic mind-set is no longer present. River becomes too familiar for him. It is no longer how River looks like now but it is how he is as a friend. There's never been any sexual tension on Lake's part. No emotional attachment. It was all Thelma driving with Louise for him. Lake is just happy having an outlet via the River.
Chapter 4: Lake On River
River is often misunderstood. His depth can only be measured by diving into it. The deeper the dive, the deeper you will know him. The River is unstable. There are times that it can be turbulent and times, slow-flowing. Its current is unpredictable. Among neighboring bodies of water, only Lake can understand him. It would always be Lake who will defend him.
Swimming can be fun on the River but drifting wood and floating debris can sometimes be harmful. Lake has learned how to avoid them by hanging out with River too much. It was never an issue for him. But the sensitivity. Yes, River is sensitive. And Lake is too. They squabble because of this but the issue would always be resolved. Another thing is, is when the River overflows, where inhibitions gone by substance, chaos and controversy take place. River cannot control himself to behave. Lake thinks he does this to feel better about himself. And Lake doesnt like it.
But despite all these, Lake thinks River is a good friend.
Chapter 5: River of Revelations
River loves to flow around young and newly-formed lakes. Our Lake would often see River flirting around. And Lake would be happy for him whenever a young lake or brook or creek would respond. This is one of the ways how Lake realized that he's not that into River. Jealousy or Heartbreak never existed.
One big party night, River is drunk. His flirting continues. There seems to be no one who responds. Lake went home early. Back to his solitude. It was calm until River opens the door, still drunk. Lake on the chair and River kneels in front of him. "Do you like me?" asks River. Lake smiles, "No". River asks again with a little force this time. "Do you like meee? I know and i am not ignorant. Your friends told me you like me". "I dont like you" responds Lake. "Even as a friend?" says River ... Lake is a little bit annoyed now. "Yes, I like you as a friend". River hugs Lake and says.. "I like you too.... as a friend".
Lake thought the drama will end now but he was wrong. River didnt stop. He grabs Lake's arms and tell him: "Look at me in the eyes and I will ask you again.... Do you like me?" Lake looks at River's eyes and say... "No." River gets up and turns to go fast without saying anything. He didnt hear Lake saying... "Wait!"
Itutuloy.......
