Kamusta na?

"Kamusta na? Ayos pa ba?"

If there is a topic I am not really good at during any session, lasingan man or just a mere straight chika, that would be anything about Pinoy politics.

I have nothing against it ha. For me, lahat ng mga politicians may sari sariling greedy agenda. Same-same lang silang lahat.

Aray!

I thought about it. My unfamiliarity with Politics tells me how selfish I am pala. Pessimist na rin with having no faith in actions for change. Or a Coward who doesnt want to be involved.

Reefer saved my day. She re-introduced Yano to me. Ironically, i remember my love for their song 'Kamusta Na' (check Song of the week sa sidebar) which has politically-inclined lyrics.

It is more of music for me after all.

"Ewan mo ba. Bahala na!"

Elegy

Aged on springtime of life.
Creases over beauty.
Cynic maturity.
Youth's guiltlessness.
Elegy.

Slap the old to see its charm.
Dont blame him for being young.
The inside splendor counts
Those lines dont matter.
Believe.

The Fashion Show: James Paul

Project Runway says goodbye to Bravo. Its new network?... Lifetime: Ang pang-Nanay na network! Charot. Pero wag malungkot mga bakla, Bravo has its new take on Fashion Design Reality TV. Hosted by Isaac Mizhari and Kelly Rowland, it is called The Fashion Show.

I watched the premiere last week. PR na PR ang concept. It is just like watching PR na rin minus Heidi Klum's shrill voice and Tim Gunn's "Make it work!".

The First Week challenge winner is Noypi-American James Paul. During the rampahan, i thought of his look as the best. Kakaiba kasi at hindi nga ako nagkamali. Tinanghal na Winnie Monsod si kababayan! Bravo!

James Paul Ancheta

I didnt know na Pinoy ang James Paul at first.

James Paul Winning Look

Bongga!)

Ang sabi nga ng James Paul: "Inspired by where I came from, a poor immigrant from a post-colonialist country; coming to America who had colonized it and moving to England, believing I was American, the clothes I create are centered within how ethnicities are shaped within the Western and Westernized societies".

When asked what his secret weapon is in the competition, James-Paul's answers: "my brain." Oh di ba? Very Miriam Defensor-Santiago? Chos! Here are some of his previous work:

Yes, James Paul.. we are rooting for you! Mabuhay ka!

Ports Of Call

Three old vessels. Ridged. Scarred. Tired. But still useful. Ready to start a new adventure through the rough waters again. Each has its own voyage. Its own purpose. Each cargo loaded. Directional skills and background marked to get to its idiosyncratic destination.

One navigates by taking series of steps. Tried and still trying variety of routes. One leaves its course to the wind. Carefree and unconstrained. And the other doesn't know yet where it's next heading for. But at least, this boat is starting to find its way.

Their Voyage to Happiness. May they reach their Ports of Call.

Maybe

I am not so glad with Maybe. It is like Purgatory. You're trapped somewhere awaiting judgement in a place you dont want to be.

Maybe, 'Maybe' is good.... it develops patience. It also gives you hope. But when the right time comes where there will be no Maybe for an answer, you realize you've already finished sniffing a pack of Hope. Detrimental like the carcinogens you get from an over-grilled pork.

And when you got the answer you wanted, you jump with joy and say to yourself, your wait is worth. But hidden underneath the blanket of jubilation, is the golden Time you've wasted waiting.

Ill rather have No for an answer than Maybe. I hate Maybe. It hinders you to Move On.

Blame Maybelline because Maybe, It's Maybelline!

The Famous Pacman

President Pacman?

Bill Dwyre of The LA Times reports....

"The only thing that might stop Pacquiao now is his desire to become a prominent government official someday soon in his beloved Philippines. There is even talk of the presidency someday.

Were that to happen now, it would make Pacquiao the answer to the trivia question: Which country has a president even more popular than Barack Obama?"

Read entire post here. Photo by Zimbio.

His humility and sensitivity especially with the media makes me froud to be Pinoy. Very Pinoy talagah ang Pacman. Thats the reason why I like him na. Congats talagah!

Pero di ko pa rin sya iboboto.

Pong! Chao! Charity!

Yes, I love Mahjong! I used to play a lot when I was still in the Phil. I started very young. It's a family thing. Both sides. You cannot blame my parents. Maybe it was one of their methods to get us away from drugs.  Anyhow, its a system of being together...  One family in one table other than breakfast and dinner. No grace needed.

Every time I play mahjong, I always think of her. She is one of the first Fashion People I've loved dearly. Here she is.......

Her name is Charity Lagahid. Former Supermodel of the World - Philippines winner. Where is she now? She never made it as Manila's Fashion Icon, did she?

Her photos here, i believe, is two years old. From a magazine I havent heard before. She's awesome! I Love her. She has this Ria Bolivar vibe. Does she still do the Rampa? Or maybe she wasted her modeling time playing Mahjong back in her native Cebu? Chos!

Charity! No Pong. No Chao. No Flower. No Joker. All cards up!
