And the Oscar goes to.....

When there is nothing to say at all, step-sis Jezebel and I would always utter this: 

"...And the Oscar goes to...... Jennifer Gaaaaarner!" 

Jennifer Garner did well in Juno, her only film where she is considered Oscar-worthy. (Peru sorry, hindi na nominate ang gagah). I dunno why, of all the Hollywood bitches, Jennifer comes out of our mouths just like that. Maybe we are playing Miss Nostradamus here and Mrs. Ben Affleck will eventually get an Oscar someday.... (when she's old and her prettiness wont distract her acting).

The Oscars is one of the Annual TV Events I am looking forward to every year (together with Miss Universe). When the straight guys at work would call in sick for the Superbowl or leave whatever they are doing to watch the NBA Finals, the Bergen would plan her whole day during Oscar Nights. It is her yearly 'panata'.

So, as early as today, I am excited for the next year's event. I cant wait for Daniel Day Lewis to say:

"...... And the Oscar goes to...... Anne Haaaaaathaway!!!!!"

Anne blew me away in the trailer of Rachel Getting Married. I hope she'll be nominated next year. Young actresses are favored to win at the Oscars nowadays (Reese, Gwyneth, Hilary) and those who deconstructed themselves in films (Charlize, Marion, Hilary [again! bruha sya!]). Anne has it in Rachel Getting Married.  She's out of her pa-cute Princess looks here na ha. I want her to win.

But STOP! Wait! Teka muna. Hindi magpapatalo ang Reyna!

".... And the Oscar goes to...... Meryl Streep!!!!!"

Ang lola! Grabeee! Eto na naman ang Tita ninyo. Nang nakita ko ang trailer ng Doubt, nag-doubt kaagad ako na manalo ang Ms Hathaway next year. It's Meryl who's going to snatch Anne's chance to win her first Oscar. Iba talagah mag deliver ang Mama Meryl ninyo! Talo ang Fedex! Takot ang DHL. Winner sya! Am sure double nominee na naman ang bruha sa Golden Globe nitoh. (For Mama Mia sa Musical and Comedy plus Drama sa Doubt).  Davu?

Abangan na lang natin next year! Anne or Meryl? Or Angelina (Changeling)? Or Nicole (Australia)? or baka Dakota ("The Dakota Fanning Rape Movie" [Hounddog]) Wahahahhahaha! kalokah si Dakota!

Pero isa lang ang hinhangad ko, ang masabi man lang sa Oscars ito:

"And the Oscar goes to....... Cherry Pie Pica-Tseeeeee!"

(Or something to that effect. Vavooooo!)

Mama O's New Look

Marami na ring looks ang na try ni Mama O. From Cute Chubilita (noong College kami) to 'Mukhang-Sakiting-Bakla' look. Nag Flat Top na rin sya noon at nag try din ng may Bangs. Lahat ng toh, di nag work.

Lately, nag Salt and Pepper look ang bruha. Medyo nag work ito. Napansin ng isang Italyano. Pero sadly, sandali lang ang power ng Salt and Pepper. Kulang pa rin raw ng Herbs and Spices. 

Kaya now, nag decide ang Mama. Dapat New Look. New Image na! At ang pinili? BAD BOY look na sya!  

Ang sakit naman ng tingin ng Mama! Mamang mama na!

The Rainbow Connection

Bakit Rainbow ang symbol ng Kabadingan? Bakit hindi Horse or Frog? Bakit hindi Sapatos or caricature ni Dorothy? Or di kaya Stars or, or.... or.... Dahon? Bakit Rainbow nga ba?

Dahil ba makulay tayo? Dahil siguro masiyahin tayo? Or di kaya "Hope" ang ibig sabihin nitoh? Or di kaya may Pot of Gold tayong idudulot sa mga Papa sa tabi tabi? Chos!

Siguro, dahil may iba't ibang klase ang pagiging bading. May Class, Subclass, Infra-class, (at wa Class). May Family, Genus, Species, and so on.

Sa buhay kong ito marami na rin akong nakilalang bading. At isa lang ang masasabi ko, hindi tayo lahat pareho. 

May bading na gustong maging babae at meron namang paminta. Merong nadiri sa sarili nyang titi at meron naman diring diri sa titi ng kapwa bading nya. Merong proud dahil bading sya at merong kinahihiya ito. Merong gustong maka-dyug, Straight lang at meron namang Straight-looking lang. Merong Topsina, merong Bottomista, at meron ding Versace. Meron na sex lang ang laman ng utak at meron ring 40 na at virgin pa, kahit tsupa di pa nakahada. Karamihan mahilig sa Fashion at meron ding baduy. Merong Pa-girl na deny to death pa rin ang kabadingan nya. Meron ding pa-butch na di bagay. T-Bird ang kalabasan nya. 

Meron din raw na Bi at meron ding Bye-Bye Titi via Surgery. Ipasok na rin ang mga curious chu-chu na nakailang dyug na sa kapwa lalaki, curious pa rin. Merong hate ang kapwang obviosang bading at meron ding wa paki. Merong mahilig kay Regine at meron naman Pa-Rock ang drama. Merong Beauty Contest addict at meron ding wiz kilala si Geraldine "Pebbles" Asis. Merong mataray at meron ding pa-demure. Merong scared at meron ding hindi scared. Merong naniniwala na sila ay pwede pang maging Straight at meron naman tanggap na bading sila straight to death. And so on... and on.

Kabadingan nga talagah! Ibat iba ang classification. Parang Halo Halo sa Chowking. May Saging, May Mais, May Ube, May Beans, May Leche Flan..... and as one.... MASARAP!

Jezebel's Love Story harvested a lot of love. Filibustero likes the drama. Ernesto, the elegance. Her day to night designs wowed Empress Maruja and Bituin. Emy Cheeks thought its inventive. The collection as a whole is very easy on the eyes, says James. And the "flowiness"is what Lora Nicolas loves. Jezebel Patel has truly captured the hearts of the Jury with her Love Story. She brings out the flame in the red color, indeed!

Season 2 Winner Ekra Tan's visit to the Serengeti dropped her to number 3 this time but the collection itself was positively memorable. Ekra has Taste says Kawadjan. The Serengeti blew the Bangcock Lips away! "Expensive" is what he can add to inventiveness and craftmanship. Rik32miles nods his head. He thinks its sophisticated and intricate; Its very Fey Summers says Zico. And Gibo... oh Gibo... was gushy about this collection. It reminds him of his visit to the actual Serengeti National Park. Ekra has truly captured the wilds of Serengeti here. Only if the others can relate (cheka!) and....Viva!

Oh My Mama Oh! Her Bubble Gum Pop just popped off. Its like a Joke says Blue; the bubble gum is not that sweet at all says Mel Beckham; "It looks like a geriatric queen's decision that Britney Spears was her style icon after all". Those were words from Fuchsiaboy; Luis Batchoy added "Masakit sya sa mata". Nobody wants a bubble gum nowadays. Mama O fights back: "Ayaw nyo? Mga bad breath kayo! Tse!"  Her first piece (right) and her swimsuit (OMG, her swimsuit) made raves though. Bravo for the bukol! says Mrs. J. Bravo!

Norah in Chicago

Akala nyo naglayas na si Norah? No Noh! She's still alive and kicking and making kuskus the banyo of the our Casa. Pero recently, granted ang weekend vacation request nya kaya ayun, Destination: Chicago! ang drama.

Dami ang pictures ni Norah. Eto sya...... Nilakad ang Michigan Avenue.

Nagmukhang dwende ang Norah sa mga skyscrapers ng Chicago. Rampa lang talagah ang gagah dahil walang pera pang shopping. Naubos na raw sa binayad nya sa American Airlines.

"Nakuh! Lost aketch? Asan na ketch?"

Si Norah, naglalandi kay King Lear.

Kalokah ang gagah! Mukhang type sya ng Papang Statue! Pero ang type lang ng Norah ay ang details ng damit ni King Lear. Pang Project Runway raw! Chos!

Pero wag na lang maglandi at baka ma Chicago Tribune sya or di kaya makulong sa tuktok ng Water Tower ala Rapunzel.

Ay eto na naman sya, naglandi ulit sa mashondang papa! At naka-smile pa sa kanya ha!

One will be crowned the winner, another one the loser.  You decide who has the talent, the innovation, the creativity, and the passion to be this season's Best Designer.  The last piece is a swimsuit worn with another piece to create more drama (and hide some unwanted fat.) Cho is fearless, that is why we like her. Super gagah bruha sya!

Sendhil Ramamurthy: He is the famous Indian genetic professor Mohinder Suresh in NBC's Heroes. He will finally be kicking ass in Season 3 as he gets his own superpower. But the superpower he possesses off cam is his smile. You should see this guy smile. Talo ang powers ni Deepak Chopra. Chos!

Mama O Latino

Guillermo del Toro: We fell in love with Guillermo in Pan's Labyrinth. (Oo kahit mataba sya. Chos!) The Hellboy director knows fantasy more than any other out there. Even Peter Jackson himself chose G. Toro to direct his own project, The Hobbit.  We are excited to see another interpretation of JRR Tolkien's. We are very positive about The Hobbit. Toro is a genius kasi. Cge, Toro-han na! Tse!

Bjork's Hyperballad (with Whitley's Cover sa Song Of The Week) is the song that describes my situation right now. I keep on playing it almost every time na for the past two days because relate na relate ako. Leche!

So, i now live in America, a dream come true. And it's not only in Any Place, USA ha... it's San Francisco. Just 3 minutes walk from the house, you'll get a good view of the bridge called the Golden Gate , and once you turn 180d, the pacific beach says hello. This is exactly what Ive dreamed of when I was (maybe) in HS, in the library with that Golden Gate spring notebook on hand.

Every morning I walk towards the edge
And throw little things off
Like: Car parts, bottles and cutlery
Or whatever I find lying around

Ive seen a lot of SF already so I opt to do some little things to amuse myself. Besides choking the bishop nga, I started throwing little things off like Bjork did. Throw a little money here and over there for nice clothes, electronics, movie and music paraphernalia, new food, etc. Things i never had before. But blogging has changed this in the past few years and lately, Seal's wife influenced me to try Project Fashion.

It's become a habit

Blogging and Designing Clothes have become a habit now. I met nice people from blogging and my artistic side has been revived by the sewing machine.

The above two have become my refuge from gloom and hardship. Life in America is not that fun at all. It is all because what I am doing here is not that fun at all. I hate my job. The stress, physical and mental, bothers me. I have to go through all this, most of my days here. I am financially compensated though but i have to send bread to the folks back home. Am left with just an OK amount to survive and enjoy a little bit of some stuff i lyk. No extra money for another education. This leave me to settle with some blogging and Fashion design stuff so I can feel happier. Unhealthy thoughts gone!

No one is awake. No one knows. My step-sisters here dont know much what's on my mind really. (or maybe, they do now). Sister Ekra would sometimes share her dislikes about the job we are into. And i would agree, but I would never share how intense my dislike for it. This is the only job i know. I spent 4 years in college for this. And this is where the money is. So ill just better go back to the cliff instead, and continue throwing things off. It helps in a way.

I love the Philippines and I always believe I belong there. (Remember ko kasi ang message ni Tito Paulo C. in The Alchemist: Kung saan saan pa kasi tayo pumupunta at ang Gold pala ay nasa bakuran lang ng ating pinanggalingan). I lay my options. How about going back home? To do what? Designing Clothes and start all over again with a Fashion studio or something? Would that bring me income like what am getting here? I might not even have enough as an amateur designer to buy a 'puter for blogging! Mahaaay!

If i leave my job... and America, would i be happier? Would doing something i lyk but not being financially stable, can better my situation? Its difficult to foretell.

There will be no TiTi Award for August 2008.
